Exceptional framing of the soil-energy-entropy problem. The insight that "it takes centuries for degraded soil to naturally replenish" but regenerative practices can restore functon in seasons really underscores th mismatch between our policy cycles and ecological timescales. What's underexplored tho is whether the transition window is already closing, if soil loss continues at current rates while we debate solutions, the degradation curve might become steeper than the regeneration curve.
